- Go to Your Dashboard
Log in to your WordPress dashboard. - Open Your Page
From the left-hand menu, click Pages.
Hover over the page where you’d like to add an image, then click Edit. - Add an Image Block
There are two ways to add an image to your page:
- Option 1: Use the Add Block (+) Button
- Click the blue + button in the top left corner of the page editor.
- Locate Image under the Media section, or type “image” into the search bar.
- Click Image to insert the block.

- Option 2: Use the Slash Command
- Click directly into the page and type a forward slash (/).
- A dropdown menu will appear with available blocks.
- Type image and select Image from the list.
- Click directly into the page and type a forward slash (/).
- Option 1: Use the Add Block (+) Button
- Add Your Image
- Click Upload to add a new image from your computer.
- Click Media Library to select an existing image.
- Click Insert from URL to use an image hosted online.
- Click Upload to add a new image from your computer.
- Adjust Image Settings
- Click the image to select the block.
- Open the Settings panel by clicking the gear icon in the top right corner.
- Select the Block tab to view image options.
- Click the image to select the block.
- Optional Adjustments
For the Image Block:
- Alternative Text: Add a brief description of the image. This supports accessibility by providing context for users who rely on screen readers.
- Aspect Ratio: Defaults to Original, which preserves the image’s natural proportions.
- Width and Height: These fields are left blank by default but can be adjusted if specific sizing is required.

- Save Your Changes
When you’re finished, click the Save button in the top right corner of the screen.
