Use buttons to attract attention to the primary call to action on a page. Not every link should be a button, only the links that the visitor is most interested in given the topic of a page. How to Add a Button
- Go to Your Dashboard
Log in to your WordPress dashboard. - Open Your Page
From the left-hand menu, click Pages.
Hover over the page where you鈥檇 like to add a button, then click Edit. - Add a Button Block
Click the blue + button in the top left corner of the page editor.- Type 鈥淏耻迟迟辞苍鈥 into the search bar or find it under the Component Library section.
- Click Button to add it to your page.
- Enter Button Text
Click directly inside the button and type your text.
Keep it short and action-oriented (e.g., Learn More, Apply Now, Contact Us). - Add a Link
- Select the button text.
- Click the Link icon in the toolbar above the block.
- Enter the URL where you鈥檇 like the button to lead.
- Press Enter or click Apply.
- Adjust Your Button Settings
- Select the button block, then click the Settings icon in the top right corner.
- Click the Block tab.
- Under Settings, you can adjust:
- Style: Choose between Default, Prominent or Disabled*.
- *Note: Disabled style is not used often. It signals actions that are temporarily unavailable or that it may become available in the near future (i.e. Sign Up Starts [Date])
- Style: Choose between Default, Prominent or Disabled*.
- Save Your Changes
When you鈥檙e finished, click the Save button in the top right corner of the screen.
