{"id":220,"date":"2021-01-26T16:16:00","date_gmt":"2021-01-26T21:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/safety\/?p=220"},"modified":"2021-01-27T08:34:29","modified_gmt":"2021-01-27T13:34:29","slug":"partial-parking-ban-jan-26-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/safety\/2021\/01\/26\/partial-parking-ban-jan-26-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Partial parking ban goes into effect tonight at 5 p.m. on Kingston Campus"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With forecasters calling for up to 3 inches of snow in the area starting this afternoon, Jan. 26, and lasting overnight, the University urges its campus community to exercise caution during the storm&#8217;s duration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The University has instituted a <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/transportation\/parking\/parking-bans\/\">partial parking ban<\/a>, which starts tonight at 5 p.m. and runs until tomorrow, Jan. 27, at 6 a.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During and after the storm, the Departments of Public Safety and Facilities Operations ask for your cooperation to help keep our community safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A partial parking ban means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>No parking: Upper College Road, Lower College Road, West Alumni Avenue and the entire length of Flagg Road.<\/li><li><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">Approved parking: Students may park in any student lot; faculty and staff may park in their designated lots.<\/span><\/li><li>Facilities Services asks that all state vehicles park on the north side of any parking lot to facilitate snow removal.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Be aware of these restrictions and park only in approved locations.
