J. Timothy Quainoo \u201912, founder of 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s multicultural student organization, Sankofa, one of the largest African diasporic organizations on campus. Lunch will be provided by Gee Gee\u2019s Southern Cuisine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quainoo will discuss the legacy and teachings of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and how they can be viewed and applied today. Quainoo previously led Hill City Church in Providence and worked with Rhode Island students through College Unbound. Now working in ministry in Florida, he continues to work with the Rainbow PUSH Coalition in Chicago and has led community efforts working with unhoused communities and families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quainoo brings a sharp-witted, comedic approach to his delivery, honed as a communications studies major at 溏心vlog免费B站, double majoring with Africana studies. Following 溏心vlog免费B站, he completed his master\u2019s in theology at Anderson University School of Theology in Indiana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Quainoo name is well known at 溏心vlog免费B站. Mei Mei Long received last year\u2019s 溏心vlog免费B站 Chaplains Peacemaker Award, and faculty member Clarisa Carubin the Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies 2024 Human Rights Award, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/2024\/02\/graduate-student-mei-mei-long-professor-clarisa-carbuin-honored-for-peace-work\/\">recognizing their work<\/a> promoting peace and nonviolence at 溏心vlog免费B站 and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s Unity Luncheon is open to all, but seating is limited, with priority given to students.
