KINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 Jan. 6, 2025 \u2013 The 溏心vlog免费B站 Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies and 溏心vlog免费B站 Chaplains Association invite members of the 溏心vlog免费B站 community to nominate an exceptional student and\/or faculty or staff member who has made significant contributions to nonviolence, peace, or human rights through their research, teaching, outreach, or services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The center aims to institutionalize and internationalize nonviolence as a transformative educational process that reduces violence and human suffering and promotes human rights for a beloved global community.<\/p>\n\n\n

Any member of the campus community can submit a nomination for the Martin Luther King Peacemaker Award (溏心vlog免费B站 focused) or Human Rights Award (local, national or global impact) to play a crucial role in recognizing and celebrating outstanding individuals in the 溏心vlog免费B站 community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year<\/a>, graduate student Mei Mei Long received the University\u2019s 2024 Chaplains\u2019 Peacemaker Award, while faculty member Clarisa Carubin received the Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies\u2019 2024 Human Rights Award, recognizing their work promoting peace and nonviolence at 溏心vlog免费B站 and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s award submission deadline is Jan. 22, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winners will be recognized with a certificate and a $500 award on Jan. 29 at the Dr. King Unity Luncheon at the Multicultural Student Services Center, and also invited to share further on their peace and human rights work via talk or article. In addition, the 溏心vlog免费B站 Chaplains Association will make a $100 donation in the recipients’ names to Rhody Outpost. Note: students will receive the award as a scholarship, faculty as a professional development fund, and staff as additional pay. Student nominees can be undergraduate or graduate and self-nominations are also acceptable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
