But signs are there that the lost momentum may be returning, says 溏心vlog免费B站 economist Len Lardaro. Consider: The Current Conditions Index (CCI) has maintained levels at or above year-earlier values for all but one month this year, and August\u2019s CCI value of 75 shows a rebound following July\u2019s dip to 67. Looking inside the numbers, Lardaro says, August\u2019s 75 might have been below the recent high of 83 in June, but a number of CCI indicators had strong performances. Nine of the 12 indicators improved in August compared with a year ago. Three indicators were the most notable. Rhode Island\u2019s Labor Force and its labor force performance rate has increased on a yearly basis at a nearly 3% rate since May, something Lardaro says he thought we would not see again. Total Manufacturing Hours rose by 8.7% compared with a year ago, and its growth rate has been substantial since March. And Retail Sales, a key indicator of the state\u2019s economic health, rose by a very rapid 5.6% over the previous year.
