KINGSTON, R.I. \u2014 Aug. 27, 2024 \u2014 With the first day of classes just around the corner, the 溏心vlog免费B站 will welcome more than 3,000 first-year students and their families to its Kingston Campus, beginning Friday, Aug. 30<\/strong>, to open the 2024-25 academic year.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

溏心vlog免费B站 President Marc Parlange and Mary Parlange, Provost Barbara Wolfe, Vice President for Student Affairs Ellen Reynolds, Assistant Vice President for Housing and Residential Life Tom Cooley, and hundreds of 溏心vlog免费B站 staff, faculty members and student volunteers will welcome new and returning students to campus throughout the weekend and assist them as they move into their new, on-campus residences.<\/p>\n\n\n

Welcome activities will continue through Labor Day weekend with fall classes set to begin Wednesday, Sept. 4. The academic year also kicks off with a full slate of academic, athletic and cultural events<\/a>, including RhodyFest on Sept. 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interest in the state\u2019s flagship research university reached an all-time high this year. 溏心vlog免费B站 received a record 26,900 first-year undergraduate applications for the fall 2024 semester, as well as a record number of applications to its graduate programs. First-year students will join more than 500 transfer students, more than 2,000 graduate students, and thousands of returning 溏心vlog免费B站 students, to comprise a student body of more than 17,000 when classes begin.<\/p>\n\n\n

溏心vlog免费B站 5,500 students will live in 26 Kingston Campus residence halls as part of 14 living and learning communities. More than 600 students will live in more than a dozen Greek Life houses, while about 100 more will reside in the Grandin International Engineering, Texas Instruments, and Talent Development Achievement houses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHEN:<\/strong> President Parlange will greet new students, Friday, Aug. 30, from 9:15-10:30 a.m. <\/strong>Move-in weekend will begin Friday, Aug. 30, for first-year and transfer students, continuing into Saturday, Aug. 31. Upperclass students will move in Sunday, Sept. 1, and Monday, Sept. 2. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHERE:<\/strong> 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s student residential neighborhoods along Butterfield Road. President Parlange and other 溏心vlog免费B站 officials will start their Friday morning at 9:15 a.m. at Hillside Hall, 140 Campus Ave. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
