{"id":96791,"date":"2024-08-15T13:05:27","date_gmt":"2024-08-15T13:05:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/?p=96791"},"modified":"2025-01-06T19:10:28","modified_gmt":"2025-01-06T19:10:28","slug":"art-and-science-merge-in-the-synergy-project-at-uris-bay-campus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/2024\/08\/art-and-science-merge-in-the-synergy-project-at-uris-bay-campus\/","title":{"rendered":"Art and science merge in The Synergy Project at 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Bay Campus"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>KINGSTON, R.I. \u2014 Aug. 15, 2024 \u2014Art League RI and the 溏心vlog免费B站 Graduate School of Oceanography are featuring the works of artists and scientists in a new exhibition titled \u201cThe Synergy Project: A Collaboration of Art and Science,\u201d from <strong>Aug. 15 through Mar. 31 <\/strong>at Studio Blue on the 溏心vlog免费B站 Narragansett Bay Campus.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With its&nbsp; goal to communicate oceanographic research to wider audiences through art exhibits and events, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.synergyexperience.org\/\">The Synergy Project<\/a> has paired artists across many mediums with scientists from 溏心vlog免费B站&nbsp; and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution since 2020. This third Synergy Project group exhibition features 50 pieces from returning artists and scientists as well as new work exploring new topics. Each exhibition is an opportunity for guests to learn about ocean science in an engaging and unconventional way, prompting new conversations about science and its importance in climate regulation and ocean health with communities near and far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Synergy Project is a continuation of the ideas generated in the original Synergy program, created in 2012 as a partnership between artists and scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. The Studio Blue gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Coastal Institute Building on the 溏心vlog免费B站 Bay Campus, 218 South Ferry Road in Narragansett. The exhibition will also be open Sept. 7 during <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/gso\/science-saturday\/\">Science Saturday<\/a>.
