The orientation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the Memorial Union, 50 Lower College Road, on the Kingston Campus, and is open to new and returning students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis orientation is for all current and spring \u201924 newly enrolled students\u2013whether they are current military, military veterans or military-connected,\u201d said Bob Flynn, director of the center. \u201cEveryone is welcome. We want them to know we are here and to be aware of the programs in place and benefits that are available to them \u2013 and we want to connect them to the community that exists here on campus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The orientation will include an introduction to the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/veterans\/\">Center for Military and Veteran Education<\/a> and its staff as well as 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Student Veterans Organization. The center, which opened in the Memorial Union in September 2022, serves as a homebase and a way to connect members of 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s veteran and military community to one another and to the programs and support to help them succeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The orientation will also cover questions related to VA and military education benefits; tuition waivers; 溏心vlog免费B站 student resources including tutoring, academic advising, accommodations; and even questions related to routine items such as Student IDs, 溏心vlog免费B站 Health Services, and bookstore accounts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the third orientation held for 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s military and veteran community since Flynn joined the University in November 2022.
