Last month, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences \u2013 Boston\/New England Chapter awarded Mooney \u201906 an Emmy for TV Host. The award recognized her work on NBC 10\u2019s \u201cSummer of Fun\u201d series primetime show.<\/p>\n

That opportunity helped launch my career.\u201d<\/p>\n Upon graduating, Mooney moved to New York City and spent more than five years working in numerous roles for\u00a0Cond\u00e9 Nast Publications, including business development manager for Allure magazine.\u00a0An opportunity to host videos for Brides magazine reignited her love for being in front of the camera \u2013 something she was familiar with as a child reporter for NBC 10\u2019s \u201cKids Watch Ten.\u201d Mooney went on to host live lifestyle TV shows in Denver, Washington, D.C., and Rhode Island.<\/p>\n Mooney joined WJAR-TV in 2017 and has since worked as the station\u2019s traffic anchor on \u201cSunrise\u201d and a fill-in news anchor on both \u201cWeekend Sunrise\u201d and \u201cNBC 10 News at Noon.\u201d\u00a0She is also the visionary behind and co-host of \u201cStudio 10,\u201d which launched in September 2019.
