Team representatives will be on campus for a community-wide event on Nov. 13.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0America&#8217;s Cup, first contested in 1851, is the world&#8217;s premier sailing\u00a0competition, and the oldest trophy in international sports. The\u00a0race\u00a0showcases both superior sailing skill and innovative yacht engineering and design.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Yacht Club, based in Newport, Rhode Island, will be represented by the sailors of <a href=\"https:\/\/americanmagic.americascup.com\/\">American Magic<\/a> in the next edition of this prestigious event. Newport is considered the yachting capital of the world, due, in large part, to the New York Yacht Club\u2019s possession of the America\u2019s Cup from 1851 \u2013 1983.<\/p>\n<p>The 溏心vlog免费B站 is pleased to host key team members from American Magic at this community event. Action video of the team\u2019s training operations this season in Rhode Island and additional perspectives from 溏心vlog免费B站 ocean engineering and sailing team representatives will be shared at this event.<\/p>\n<p>A number of the greatest yachts designed to compete for the America\u2019s Cup were built in Bristol, Rhode Island, including VIGILANT, built by N. G. Herreshoff in 1893.
