The series is free and open to the public and takes place at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, in Edwards Hall, 64 Upper College Road.<\/p>\n<p>Named one of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.utne.com\">UTNE Reader\u2019s<\/a> \u201c50 Visionaries Who Are Changing Our World\u201d Zirin is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thenation.com\">The Nation\u2019s<\/a> first ever sports writer. Referred to as the \u201cconscience of American sports writing\u201d by The Washington Post, Zirin is also a regular op-ed writer for the Los Angeles Times. In addition to his writing, Zirin hosts the \u201cEdge of Sports\u201d podcast and the popular Washington, D.C., radio show, \u201cThe Collision with Etan Thomas and Dave Zirin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zirin is the author of multiple books, including \u201cBrazil\u2019s Dance with the Devil: The World Cup, the Olympics, and the Fight for Democracy\u201d and his latest, \u201cJim Brown: Last Man Standing.\u201d He is a sought-after TV and radio commentator, featured frequently on NBC, ESPN and MSNBC.
