KINGSTON, R.I., Sept. 14, 2018 \u2014 Carole Radziwill will share her experiences as a journalist, best-selling author, and longtime cast member of Bravo\u2019s drama-based reality show, \u201cThe Real Housewives of New York City,\u201d when she delivers the 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s 11th<\/sup> annual Christiane Amanpour Lecture Oct. 24, 2018 at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

Radziwill began her career at ABC News as a journalist working for Peter Jennings. She was part of the coveted documentary unit, \u201cPeter Jennings Reporting,\u201d covering groundbreaking domestic stories, as well as, foreign stories in Haiti, India, and Cambodia. She traveled extensively on\u00a0the Thai-Cambodian border, reporting and filming in refugee\u00a0camps and with Khmer Rouge soldiers for the award-winning\u00a0documentary \u201cFrom the Killing Fields.\u201d She was stationed in\u00a0Israel during the\u00a0Persian Gulf War in 1991\u00a0and traveled with Israeli\u00a0military personnel filming the aftermath of Saddam Hussein\u2019s\u00a0SCUD missile attacks. In 2001, she spent a month embedded with the 101st\u00a0Airborne Division in Kandahar during the U.S. led war in Afghanistan, creating the ABC documentary series \u201cProfiles from the Front Line.\u201d<\/p>\n

She reported for \u201cWorld News Tonight\u201d and produced stories for the\u00a0magazine shows \u201c20\/20,\u201d \u201cPrimetime Live,\u201d and \u201cDay One,\u201d including the story of a Vietnam Veteran\u2019s anti-landmine campaign in Cambodia which earned Radziwill the first of three EMMY awards she would receive for a career that spanned fourteen years. Her later work earned her a Robert F. Kennedy Humanitarian Award and a GLAAD Award.<\/p>\n

Her 2005 memoir, \u201cWhat Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship and Love,\u201d recounts her childhood in upstate, N.Y., her journalism career, and her husband\u2019s cancer diagnosis, illness and death. The book spent twenty weeks on the New York Times list and is a national bestseller. Radziwill followed up that success with the novel, \u201cThe Widow\u2019s Guide to Sex & Dating.\u201d<\/p>\n

Today she is widely recognized for her role on Bravo\u2019s, \u201cReal Housewives of New York City,\u201d in which she established herself as the \u201cvoice of reason\u201d on the drama-filled reality show. Her expansive body of work is evidence of her ability to share her journey in life with humor, kindness, and insight.<\/p>\n

In addition to her professional achievements, Radziwill received a bachelor\u2019s degree in English Literature from the City University of New York\u2019s Hunter College\u00a0and a master of business administration from New York University\u2019s Stern School of Business.\u00a0She was also\u00a0a finalist for the John C. Knight Fellowship at Stanford University.<\/p>\n

She is chief international affairs correspondent for CNN and host of the global affairs program, \u201cAmanpour & Co.,\u201d which also airs on PBS. Launched in 2008, the speaker series brings well-respected journalists to campus each year.<\/p>\n
