KINGSTON, R.I, \u2014April 12, 2018\u2014The 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Landscape Architecture Lecture Series continues with a talk Thursday, April 19 by renowned Mexican landscape architect Mario Schjetnan.<\/p>\n
Born in Mexico City, Schjetnan is considered one of the foremost landscape architects today whose work through his firm, Grupo de Diseno Urba\u00f1o, has elevated the stature of Mexican landscape architecture.<\/p>\n
\u201cWorld Trends and Landscape Architecture\u201d will start at 7 p.m. in Room 105A of the Richard E. Beaupre Center for Chemical and Forensic Sciences, 140 Flagg Road, on the Kingston campus. The talk is free and open to the public. Schjetnan will visit with faculty and students April 19 and 20.<\/p>\n
Schjetnan\u2019s projects in Mexico and other cities throughout the world include\u00a0urban parks, ecological parks, cultural and archaeological museums, linear river walks, and coastal and housing developments.\u00a0They are large and striking and often related directly to the culture of Mexico.<\/p>\n
His work has received numerous awards from the American Society of Landscape Architects, Mexican Society of Architects and Landscape Architects, the U.S. National Park Service, the Union of International Architects, and the International Federation of Landscape Architects.<\/p>\n
Schjetnan received the Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe Award 2015 by the International Federation of Landscape Architects, the highest award of landscape architecture worldwide. He is the first Latin American to receive this recognition.<\/p>\n
