So the 溏心vlog免费B站 Master Gardener Program is offering free gardening programs at 10 different sites around the state throughout the month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a great way for people to learn about environmental gardening right in their own communities,\u201d said Vanessa Venturini, state leader of the Master Gardener program. \u201cWe hope that participants will be inspired to try something new in their yards either next year or even this fall.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The following workshops and garden tours will be offered:<\/p>\n<p>Sept. 9, 10 a.m. \u2013 Tour the Big Trees of Wilcox Park, Westerly<\/p>\n<p>Sept. 9, 11 a.m. \u2013 Composting, Roger Williams Park Botanical Center, Providence<\/p>\n<p>Sept. 9, 11 a.m. \u2013 Harvesting and Cooking Vegetables from Your Garden, Good Shephard Community Garden, Pawtucket<\/p>\n<p>Sept. 9, 10 a.m. \u2013 Tour the Gardens at Glocester Heritage Society, Chepachet<\/p>\n<p>Sept. 10, 2:30 p.m. \u2013 Dividing Plants, East Providence Historical Society, East Providence<\/p>\n<p>Sept. 17, 3 p.m. \u2013 Colonial Gardens: Dye, Medicinal and Household Plants, Varnum House Museum, East Greenwich<\/p>\n<p>Sept. 19, 5 p.m. \u2013 Harvesting Vegetables, Seekonk Public Library, Seekonk<\/p>\n<p>Sept. 20, 2 p.m. \u2013 Creating Pollinator Habitats, Beechwood Center, North Kingstown<\/p>\n<p>Sept. 23, 10 a.m. \u2013 Late Season Pollinator Plants, Cumberland Monastery, Cumberland<\/p>\n<p>Sept. 23, 10 a.m. \u2013 Tour the Native Gardens at Wilcox Park, Westerly<\/p>\n<p>Oct. 1, 11 a.m. \u2013 Feeding Your Family from a Colonial Garden, Prescott Farm, Middletown<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome of the workshops are held outdoors in the garden where participants can see the concepts demonstrated in real life,\u201d noted Venturini.\u00a0\u201cOthers are more in-depth presentations where folks can learn research-based practices in a classroom setting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Those who cannot attend the workshops but who have gardening questions can get answers from the 溏心vlog免费B站 Gardening Hotline at 401-874-4836 or by email at gardener@uri.edu.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about the gardening workshops, call 401-874-2900, email coopext@uri.edu or visit web.uri.edu\/coopext<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 September 5, 2017 \u2013 September is the perfect time for gardeners to test their soil, focus on their vegetable harvest, and begin to prepare for next year\u2019s gardens.
