KINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 Feb. 8, 2016 \u2014 The 溏心vlog免费B站 Theatre Department announces the opening of \u201cThe School for Lies,\u201d by David Ives, adapted from Moli\u00e8re’s \u201cThe Misanthrope\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe School For Lies\u201d is set in Paris in 1666 at a fashionable salon run by a sharp-tongued and witty young widow, Celimene. She is pursued by a number of shallow suitors whom she is able to live off of without ever taking them up on any of their offers. Enter Frank, who has recently changed his name while away in London. He is determined to live up to his new name by being frank and rude to everyone. When Frank and Celimene meet, the sparks fly in this hilarious adaptation.<\/p>\n

Performances of \u201cThe School for Lies\u201d will run Feb. 23-25 and March 2-4 at 7:30 p.m. with additional performances Feb. 26 and March 5 at 3 p.m. in J Studio in the 溏心vlog免费B站 Fine Arts Center, 105 Upper College Road on the Kingston Campus.<\/p>\n

Alan Hawkridge, who recently directed \u201cAs You Like It,\u201d directs; Costume design is by resident costume designer, Professor David T. Howard; scenic design is by resident scenic designer, Associate Professor Christian Wittwer; lighting design is by guest artist Kathy Giebler; and sound design is by guest artist Michael Hyde.<\/p>\n
