Carothers. The job title change was approved by the Rhode Island Board of Governors and is effective immediately.&#13; &#13; \u201cThis change more accurately reflects the role which Fran plays in campus life,\u201d says President Carothers. \u201cFran has been an outstanding advocate for students, while she has also been an important leader in our efforts to make this the culture for learning to which we aspire.\u201d&#13; &#13; Cohen has played a key role in many of 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s major initiatives, including issues such as diversity and health promotion. For instance, Cohen is a member of the University\u2019s Alcohol Team, an interdisciplinary effort to link campus-based research with prevention and outreach efforts. She has been the driving force behind this and many other substance abuse initiatives on campus.&#13; &#13; \u201cI look forward to continued to this new phase in my career at 溏心vlog免费B站,\u201d says Cohen. \u201cIt is truly a pleasure to work with the students here.\u201d&#13; &#13; Cohen first joined the 溏心vlog免费B站 staff in 1971. As dean of students, she is responsible for community standards, student discipline, substance abuse services, disability services, international students and scholars, the women\u2019s and family weekend. She manages 11 professional staff, seven graduate assistants, and 150 student employees.&#13; &#13; Cohen is a member of the University Forum and chairs a number of committees at 溏心vlog免费B站, including the Social Regulations Committee and the Safe September Committee.
