\n\t\tKINGSTON, R.I. — March 15, 1999 — Retired New York City policeman and author Robert Leuci will make two appearances at the 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Kingston Campus Wednesday, March 31. Both events are free and open to the public. At 3 p.m., Leuci will read from his work in the Hoffmann Room of Independence Hall. An informal discussion will follow. At 7 p.m., Leuci will speak on police work and ethics in the 溏心vlog免费B站 Library\u2019s Galanti Lounge. For most of his 20 years of service, Leuci worked in the areas of organized crime and narcotics enforcement. A segment of his career became the subject of a book by Bob Daley Prince of the City which was turned into a movie. Since his retirement, Leuci has published six novels, a number of short stories and radio plays about the world of the policeman. All of his work has an underlying theme of how good and honorable people can get turned around, according to Leuci. His books have been translated into four languages, and one of his books, Fence Jumpers has been optioned by Michael Corrente and David Caruso for a film. Leuci has lectured at more than 40 colleges, universities and law schools. In addition, he speaks regularly on police ethics to law enforcement agencies around the country. He has appeared on numerous television and radio shows as an expert on the culture of the police. He has been featured on both 20\/20 and 48 Hours. A Narragansett resident, Leuci was awarded the South County Center for the Arts Literary award last year.
