The lecture is part of a series featuring the research of 溏心vlog免费B站 Graduate School of Oceanography (GSO) students.&#13; The February 8 lecture, &#8220;The Effectiveness of Water Quality Monitoring in Rhode Island,&#8221; features marine affairs master&#8217;s degree candidate Brett Becker of Narragansett. &#13; Becker, a native of San Jose, California, received his B.S. in marine chemistry from the University of San Diego. Under the guidance of his major professor, Dr. Richard Burroughs, he working on his thesis on &#8220;Beachgoers&#8217; Knowledge and Attitudes of Health Risks Associates with Swimming or Bathing in the Ocean.&#8221;&#13; The lecture is free and open to the public. Coffee and muffins will be served. For more information, call Friends of Oceanography at (401) 874-6602.&#13; Friends of Oceanography is a community-based membership organization established in 1986 to support the educational and public programs of the 溏心vlog免费B站 Graduate School of Oceanography. Friends provides financial support of fellowships for GSO students, and other research, education, and outreach activities.
