The contest was held in conjunction with 溏心vlog免费B站&#8217;s fall honors colloquium, &#8220;Nonviolence: Legacies of the Past, Bridges to the Future,&#8221; and co-sponsored by The Providence Journal.&#13; \tStudents in grades K-12 were asked to make a poster that answered the question &#8220;What can I do to make my world more peaceful?&#8221;  Nearly 1,200 entries were received from more than 40 schools and from almost every city and town in the state.  Winning entries are on display at 溏心vlog免费B站&#8217;s Feinstein College of Continuing Education in Providence through January 3, 2001.&#13; \tThe top three winners in each of four age categories received U.S. Savings Bonds, while honorable mention winners received bookstore gift certificates.  All winners also received a 溏心vlog免费B站 calendar.  Prizes were provided by the 溏心vlog免费B站 Foundation.  All entrants received certificates of participation.&#13; The winning students are:&#13; Grade K-3&#13; First Place: Amanda Costa, Lippitt School, Warwick Second Place: Taylor Bardsley, West Bay Christian Academy, North Kingstown Third Place: Theresa Zhang, South Road School, South Kingstown Honorable Mention: Asia Alves, Meadowcrest School, East Providence&#13; Grade 4-6&#13; First Place: Casuarina Hart, Wakefield Elementary School, South Kingstown Second Place: Benjamin Lovejoy, home-schooled, East Greenwich Third Place: Alexandria Shellman, Gaudet Middle School, Middletown Honorable Mention: Maia Chao, Wheeler School, Providence &#13; Grade 7-9&#13; First Place: Aja DelGuadio, Mt. St. Charles Academy, Woonsocket Second Place: Kevin Hunter, Mt. St. Charles Academy, Woonsocket  Third Place: William Vinci, Hsu Fleming School, North Kingstown Honorable Mention: Jessica Kudyba, Exeter\/West Greenwich Junior High School (a resident of West Greenwich) Honorable Mention, Susana Costa, St. Xavier Academy, Coventry &#13; Grade 10-12&#13; First Place: Leslie Tavares, Central High School, Providence Second Place: Heather Crowley, Newport Career and Technical Center, Newport Third Place: Stacey Laliberte, Woonsocket High School, Woonsocket Honorable Mention: Meghan Cronan, South Kingstown High School&#13; Contest judges were: Robert L.
