\n\t\tKINGSTON, R.I. — April 16, 2002 — The fourth annual film and video festival showcasing the work of 溏心vlog免费B站 undergraduate students began April 15 and runs through April 17. The festival is sponsored by 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s College of Arts and Sciences. <\/p>\n

Award winners in each division will receive cash prizes ($500 for first place, $150 for second, and $100 for third). Each first place winner will also receive a pass to the Rhode Island International Film Festival. The “Best of Festival” winner will be awarded an additional $500 and a scholarship to a R.I. International Film Festival “Filmmaker\u2019s Master Class”. Honorable mention winners will receive tickets to the Avon Cinema in Providence or the Brattle Theater in Cambridge, Mass. <\/p>\n

Tom Gasek, award-winning animator who has worked on many commercial and feature projects such as Wallace & Gromit and Chicken Run, will give a special presentation on Wednesday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m. in Chafee Auditorium. <\/p>\n

Screening of the winning entries will follow Gasek\u2019s presentation. Professionals working in the Rhode Island and national film communities selected the winning videos and films. Winners were chosen in five categories — documentary news, commercials, animation, and experimental and an “open” division for films that mix categories or do not readily fit the other categories. A sixth category, “Film and Television Criticism,” recognizes written essays addressing aspects of film or television criticism, history, or theory. <\/p>\n
