Scheduled at times convenient for teachers, the classroom sessions will run for nine Wednesdays: February 27, March 6 and 20, April 3, 10, and 24, and May 1, 8 and 15, from 4 to 6:30 pm at the Coastal Institute Conference and Visitor Center on the 溏心vlog免费B站 Bay Campus in Narragansett. The 6-hour field sessions will be held on two Saturdays, April 27 from 11 am to 5 pm, and May 4 from 9 am to 3 pm.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\tCourse topics include global warming, ozone loss, sea level rise, the health effects of environmental degradation, population, biodiversity, national legislation, and mitigation options. The instructors, Gail Scowcroft of the 溏心vlog免费B站 Office of Marine Programs and biological oceanographer Dr. Paul Hargraves, will also introduce teachers to the science issues related to human impact on environmental systems, as well as social, political, and economic systems that affect the environment. Projects include development of inquiry-based activities for use in the classroom.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\tCost for this course is $495 per person.
