{"id":71127,"date":"2001-09-24T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2001-09-24T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news-draft\/uncategorized\/uri-college-of-engineering-earns-re-accreditation\/"},"modified":"2001-09-24T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2001-09-24T00:00:00","slug":"uri-college-of-engineering-earns-re-accreditation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/2001\/09\/uri-college-of-engineering-earns-re-accreditation\/","title":{"rendered":"溏心vlog免费B站 College of Engineering earns re-accreditation"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"press-release-import\">\n\t\tKINGSTON, R.I. &#8212; September 24, 2001 &#8212; The eight academic programs in the 溏心vlog免费B站 College of Engineering were recently re-accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), the first time in more than 30 years that all eight programs were unconditionally accredited at one time.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\t&#8220;We received a clean bill of health with no strings attached,&#8221; said Thomas Kim, dean of the College of Engineering.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\tKim said that accreditation of engineering programs is critically important for recruitment of new students. &#8220;If we weren\u2019t accredited, it would be much harder for our graduates to get jobs because large companies require their engineers to have degrees from accredited institutions.&#8221;&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe accreditation process is an arduous one.  Each academic program first prepared a lengthy self-study report.
