\n250 high school students to gather at
\n溏心vlog免费B站 Feinstein Prov. Campus

\nPROVIDENCE, R.I. — May 7, 2003 — 溏心vlog免费B站 250 Rhode Island high school students will celebrate Law Day 2003 at the 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Feinstein Providence Campus on Thursday, May 8, from 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The day is co-sponsored by 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Urban Field Center and the Rhode Island Bar Association. The campus is located at 80 Washington Street, Providence. <\/p>\n

\tThis year, the Law Day will focus on “Equal Access for All. ” After introductions at 8:45 a.m. by District Court Chief Judge Albert DeRobbio and other notables, the students will debate the fairness in drug crime sentencing after viewing a video interview of Dan Rather with a drug offender with a life sentence. A panel will be led by Professor David Zlotnick, a criminal law expert at Roger Williams University Law School, and include Steve Brown of the American Civil Liberties Union, Judge Edwin Torres (Associate Justice, 1st Circuit Federal District Court), Judge Edward C. Clifton (Associate Justice, R.I. Superior Court), Assistant U.S. Attorney Jerry Sullivan, a DEA agent, and a former inmate will then respond to the case as well, focusing on the legal and social issues raised. <\/p>\n

Following the keynote panel, each student will attend two workshops, one from 10 to 10:45 a.m. and one from 11 to 11:45 a.m. After the second workshops, the wrap-up and lunch will be held in the Paff Auditorium, located on the first floor of the campus. The workshops are: <\/p>\n

\n7. Drug Court in Rhode Island \u2013 Jail Time or Treatment?
\n8. Dating and Domestic Violence (AAG Steve Ryan, Chief, Domestic Violence Unit)
