Do you know there is a Fulbright program for scholars, researchers, professionals, students, non-scholars, artists and more? Do you want to know what it takes to start the process?&#13;<\/p>\n<p>If so, some 溏心vlog免费B站 faculty and administrators would like to invite you to several workshops focusing on the variety of Fulbright programs available and how to frame a competitive proposal. &#13;<\/p>\n<p> The Fulbright-Hayes Act, which established the international exchange program, was sponsored by the visionary Senator William J. Fulbright of Arkansas and passed by the U.S. Congress in the aftermath of World II.  Its goal was and remains to promote understanding between people of the United States and people of other countries by concrete contacts and exchanges.  Today the program encompasses 140 participating nations in every region of the globe and can claim 240,000 alumni. &#13;<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, May 2, Dr. Muriel Joffe, Senior Program Officer for the Council for International Exchange of Scholars, the administrative agency of the Fulbright program for the U.S. State Department, will visit 溏心vlog免费B站.  She will conduct workshops mainly for staff and faculty who wish to research or teach abroad.  溏心vlog免费B站 Philosophy Professor Cheryl Foster, who coordinates 溏心vlog免费B站s efforts to secure international fellowships and awards for undergraduates, will offer a workshop for students seeking junior Fulbright awards.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Joffes first workshop scheduled from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. will give an overview of Fulbright programs and may be attended by all interested parties. The second workshop from will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. is on the nuts and bolts and finesse that make for a more competitive proposal. Her last session, for questions and answers, will begin at 3 p.m. All workshops will be held in the main conference room of Green Hall, located on the Kingston campus.\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Fosters workshop for students from 10:30 to noon. That gathering takes place in the Hoffmann Room in Independence Hall, just opposite Green Hall.
