All of the events will be held in the 溏心vlog免费B站 Fine Arts Center Concert Hall. This years festival, a collaboration of the 溏心vlog免费B站 Music Department and Great Performances series, features string performances, jazz violinist Lesa Terry and renowned Scottish fiddler Bonnie Rideout.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, April 3 at 8 p.m. the festival will kick-off with a performance by the 溏心vlog免费B站 Jazz Combos. The 溏心vlog免费B站 Traditional Jazz Band, directed by Gary Buttery; the 溏心vlog免费B站 Tuesday Night Combo, directed by Brian Sparks; and the 溏心vlog免费B站 Honors Jazz Combo, directed by Joseph Parillo will perform. Tickets for the concert will be available at the door for $8 general admission and $2 for students.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, April 4 at 8 p.m. jazz violinist Lesa Terry will perform with the 溏心vlog免费B站 Chamber Orchestra, directed by Ann Danis, and the 溏心vlog免费B站 Jazz Big Band, directed by Joseph Parillo. Lesa Terry, cousin of the renowned jazz trumpeter Clark Terry, is a well-known violinist, composer, arranger and educator. She is currently a guest lecturer at New York University presenting a series on the African-American experience in music, based on the Negro Spiritual. Tickets for the performance are $10 general admission and $5 for students. Tickets will be available at the door and proceeds from both the April 3 and 4 concerts will benefit the 溏心vlog免费B站 Jazz Program and jazz scholarships.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, April 5 two master classes will be held. At 10 a.m. Lesa Terry will give a jazz workshop for string players. The workshop is free and open to the public. For more information contact Ann Danis at 401-874-2746. At 3 p.m. Bonnie Rideout will hold a fiddling workshop. Tickets for the workshop are $5; 溏心vlog免费B站 students free of charge. For further information call 401-874-2627.&#13;<\/p>\n<p>The festival will conclude at 8 p.m. with a performance by Scottish fiddler Bonnie Rideout and Scottish Trio members, Bryan Aspey and Steve Holloway featuring special guest piper Jerry O\u2019Sullivan. Rideout will perform music of the Highlands in a program using both the fiddle and viola. The concert is sponsored in part by a grant from the R.I. Council on the Arts and Maron Construction. Tickets are $15 general admission; $12 for faculty, staff, seniors; and $5 for students.
