Chris Emerson\u2019s talk at 4 p.m. is in Pastore Hall, Room 124. It is free and open to the public.&#13;<br \/>\nEmerson is a 12-year veteran of the North Kingstown force, in which he served in the Uniform Patrol Division, Detective Division, and now in the Support Services Division as training officer.&#13;<br \/>\nDuring his tenure in the Detective Division, Emerson became involved in the growing trend of computer crimes.  In an effort to keep current with computer crimes, Emerson attended several schools related to computer crimes at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Va. and other national courses for law enforcement personnel.  He is also a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Rhode Island Taskforce. This taskforce was started last year in Washington County and deals primarily with Internet crimes against children.
