\nGalleries, ice and performances bring magic to Kingston Campus
\nKINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 November 13, 2002 — Whether you come by foot, by car, or even by coach, November can be magical for those who visit the 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Kingston campus. Spend time on a Saturday exploring the galleries and gliding on ice, and being transported to another world with performances at the Fine Arts Center in the evening.<\/p>\n

After receiving a map and parking pass at the Information Center on Upper College Rd., here\u2019s a suggested itinerary for an upcoming Saturday or Sunday visit:<\/p>\n

–First stop: Fine Art Center Galleries
\nSaturday\/Sunday, 1-4 p.m., Free
\n
\nIn the Main Gallery, visit “Translations\/Transgressions,” the exhibition that parallels the 2002 Honors Colloquium exploring “Genetic Technology and Public Policy in the New Millennium.” Some 15 artists of national and international stature are featured through commanding works encompassing painting, sculpture, photography, video and interactive media.
\nIn the Photo Gallery, view “Odd Couplings: Sustained Contradictions” by Cassandra Hooper, whose works combine historical printing process and the latest digital imaging.
\nIn the Corridor Gallery, view “TELEOLOGY” by new Department of Art faculty member, Ron Hutt. Hutt works with digital imaging, 2d animation, interactive web-based Net Art and photo-silkscreen processes.
\n— Next stop: Boss Arena
\nPublic skating 2-4 p.m.
\n$4 per person
\n-
\nLace-up your skates or plan to rent a pair ($5) and glide out on the ice at the new Bradford R. Boss arena.
\nThen, grab a bite to eat at the Ram\u2019s Den in the Memorial Union (open 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, and until 7 p.m. on Sunday) or at other area eateries before heading back to Fine Arts.

\n— End the day with an evening of magic or music
\nAfter enjoying the galleries and the rink, head back to the Fine Arts Center and take in a show:

\nSunday, Nov. 17 at 5 p.m.
