On Saturday, October 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., GSO is hosting a Bay Blast with:&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n\u00b7\tTours of GSO and historic South Ferry&#13;<br \/>\n\u00b7\tTours of the research vessel Endeavor&#13;<br \/>\n\u00b7\tMarine and environmental displays, demonstrations, and lectures&#13;<br \/>\n\u00b7\tSouth Ferry Church Open House&#13;<br \/>\n\u00b7\tFall Crafts for Kids&#13;<br \/>\n\u00b7\tExhibit of Jacques Cousteau\u2019s Sea Flea Submarine and Diving Gear&#13;<br \/>\n\u00b7\tFood &#13;<br \/>\n\u00b7\tMusic of GSO\u2019s own Chiva Bus&#13;<br \/>\n\u00b7\tBook Signings&#13;<br \/>\n\u00b7\tCoastal Institute Bookstore 10% off Everything Fall Sale&#13;<br \/>\n\u00b7\tRaffle to Benefit Friends of Oceanography Student Fellowship&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\nAt 11 a.m., Kevin Cute of the Coastal Resources Management Council will present his lecture, &#8220;Alien Invaders in Narragansett Bay.&#8221; At 1 p.m., GSO student Jennifer Miksis will present her lecture on &#8220;How Marine Mammals Perceive.&#8221; &#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\nWayne and Bernice Durfee will lead the South Ferry walking tour at 10:30 a.m., and guided tours of GSO and Endeavor will take place throughout the day. Chiva Bus will perform on the quad from 1:30-3 p.m.&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\nRaffle prizes include a $100 gift certificate to The Capital Grille, books by GSO oceanographer Dr. Robert Ballard, Friends of Oceanography and Rhode Island Sea Grant gift baskets. &#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\nThis event is free and open to the public, and will take place rain or shine.&#13;<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\nDirections to the GSO campus: At the intersection of routes 1 and 138 in South Kingstown turn onto Bridgetown Road (this is a left turn if you are heading south, a right turn if you are heading north). Continue straight through next traffic signal  onto South Ferry Road. Continue past South Ferry Industrial Park on the right and South Ferry Church on the left.
