Their readings are the second event in the READ\/WRITE poetry and fiction series sponsored by the 溏心vlog免费B站 Writer&#8217;s Collective.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nIn a stunning follow-up to her prizewinning debut collection AT THE SITE OF INSIDE OUT, Rabinowitz\u2019s DARKLING, a book-length acrostic poem, demonstrates that one can, indeed, write poetry after the Holocaust. A music\/theatre performance piece based on the book is being developed in collaboration with American Opera Projects. In addition, the internationally known avant-garde composer and polyartist Francis Schwartz is working on a composition inspired by DARKLING for flute, cello and dancer.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nA National Endowment for the Arts Fellow, Rabinowitz has published widely in such journals as the Atlantic Monthly, Boston Review, and The Paris Review. Her work has also appeared in numerous anthologies.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nShe edits and publishes the nationally distributed literary journal, American Letters &amp; Commentary and is a vice-president of the Poetry Society of America. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nMatthea Harvey is the author of Pity the Bathtub Its Forced Embrace of the Human Form (Alice James Books, 2000) and Sad Little Breathing Machine (Graywolf 2004).<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\n Harvey is the poetry editor of American Letters &amp; Commentary, a contributing editor for BOMB, and has taught at Warren Wilson College, the Pratt Institute and the University of Houston.
