{"id":70436,"date":"2004-09-27T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2004-09-27T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news-draft\/uncategorized\/uri-library-gallery-presents-timely-exhibit-on-the-spirit-of-democracy\/"},"modified":"2004-09-27T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2004-09-27T00:00:00","slug":"uri-library-gallery-presents-timely-exhibit-on-the-spirit-of-democracy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/2004\/09\/uri-library-gallery-presents-timely-exhibit-on-the-spirit-of-democracy\/","title":{"rendered":"溏心vlog免费B站 Library Gallery presents timely exhibit on the spirit of democracy"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"press-release-import\">\n\t\tKINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 September 27, 2004 \u2013 溏心vlog免费B站 five weeks before Rhode Islanders head to the polls to cast their ballots on local, statewide and national elections, an exhibit at the 溏心vlog免费B站 Library will shed light on the right to and process of voting itself.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n&#8220;Voting and the Spirit of Democracy,&#8221; curated by Daniel Schofield of Westerly, a retired school teacher and preeminent collector of 18th and 19th century political artifacts, is on display now through election day, Tuesday, Nov. 2. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nThe display features items from Schofield&#8217;s personal collection including proxies, ballots, broadsides, pamphlets and other materials from Rhode Island and other states. Visitors will also receive an illustrated pamphlet written by Schofield with a foreword by Rhode Island Secretary of State Matt Brown.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nFree and open to the public, the exhibition is in the gallery located on the first floor of the 溏心vlog免费B站 Library on the Kingston Campus.
