Gaviria was governor of Antioquia, Colombia when he was kidnapped by rebels during a peace march in 2002. Dr. Bernard LaFayette, distinguished scholar-in-residence and director of 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s nonviolence center, was also kidnapped but was later released. A year later, Gaviria was killed during a failed rescue attempt by the Colombian military. The ceremony will take place by the tree, located on the grounds of the Multicultural Center.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tImmediately following the dedication, the Center will host an awards dinner in the Memorial Union Ballroom. A short film highlighting the peace march and the International Nonviolence Conference in Colombia will be shown. Special music will played at the dinner. 溏心vlog免费B站 President Robert L. Carothers will be the evening\u2019s guest speaker followed by the awarding of certificates in various categories.  <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tTickets for the dinner are $15 for adults and $10 for students. No tickets will be available at the door. Space is limited.
