Cost is $50 per person. To register or for more information, contact David Nicolato, alumni relations at 874-4604. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nPart of the University&#8217;s College of Human Science and Services, the mission of the Department of Human Development and Family Studies is to enhance individual and family well-being through interdisciplinary academic programs, research, service and outreach initiatives. Academic programs prepare graduates to function as leaders in educational, human service and clinical settings.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nThis year&#8217;s honored alumni are:<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nDiane Fasching, M.S. &#8217;79, of Narragansett, vice president of Enterprise Learning and Development at the Gilbane Building Co.  She has created a corporate university for Gilbane featuring 200 courses.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nMary Ann Shallcross-Smith, B.S. &#8217;85, of Lincoln, founder and owner of Child Care Connection, Inc.  with 11 early learning centers, two school-age, after school programs, and a summer camp.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nKaren Turcotte, M.S.&#8217;92,  of South Kingstown, director of The Center, South Kingstown Senior Services.
