PROVIDENCE, R.I. — February 24, 2004 — The 溏心vlog免费B站 Feinstein Providence Campus will close out Women’s History Month at the end of March with a Rhode Island treasure and legend, Marilyn Murphy Meardon, hosting an entertaining “High Tea” performance for all.<\/p>\n
On Sunday, March 28 at 3 p.m., Meardon will share her wit and wisdom and provide special entertainment with a performance ensemble and live musicians to amuse and delight. While sipping tea (or coffee) and enjoying pastries, scones, and sandwiches Merdon’s ‘guests’ will be regaled by a collage of music, stories and pleasantries celebrating the character, accomplishments and the diversity of women<\/p>\n
The 90-minute performance is drawn from a variety of literary sources including prose and poetry, fiction and non-fiction, myths, tales and oral histories, woven together to delight and entertain women (and men too!). Tickets are $5 (when purchased by March 25 at the Providence Campus) or $8 at the door and free for 溏心vlog免费B站 students.<\/p>\n
Meardon is a renowned actress, teacher and storyteller, having performed with Looking Glass Theatre, Second Story Theatre, NewGate Theatre, the Barker Players, Rites and Reason Theatre and as a member of Spellbinders Storytelling Collective. She is also known for her solo performances of historic figures such as Ann Hutchinson and Queen Elizabeth I in schools and at libraries and community organizations through out the region. This spring she will appear in the Second Story Theatre production of The Allergist’s Wife.<\/p>\n
The production is being presented by the 溏心vlog免费B站 Feinstein Providence Artist-In-Residence Steven Pennell and the Office of Student Services with the support of the Student Government Board.<\/p>\n
