Professors from such institutions as Brown Medical School and Yale University will address topics ranging from genetics to HIV.  All lectures will be held at 4 p.m. in Atrium II of the 溏心vlog免费B站 Memorial Union.  They are free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nThe schedule of the speakers and their topics is as follows:<\/p>\n<p><sum> Wed., March 3, Dr. Andrew G. Bostom, associate professor of medicine, Brown Medical School.<br \/><sum> Wed., March 10, Dr. Joel S. Pachter, professor of pharmacology and director of the blood-brain barrier laboratory, University of Connecticut Health Center, &#8220;Chemokines and Chemokine Receptors Along the Brain Microvasculature.&#8221;<br \/><sum> Wed., March 24, Dr. Paul F. Hollenberg, Maurice H. Seevers Collegiate Professor and chair of the department of pharmacology, University of Michigan, &#8220;Mechanism-based Inactivation of Cytochromes P450.&#8221;<br \/><sum> Wed., April 14, Dr. Catherine M. Joyce, department of molecular, biophysics, and biochemistry, Yale University, &#8220;Two Contrasting DNA Polymerases:  Klenow Fragment and Dbh.&#8221;<br \/><sum> Wed., April 21, Dr. Carol Bewley, Drug Receptor Interactions, LBC, NIDDK, National Institutes of Health, &#8220;Blocking HIV Entry with Marine Natural Products.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nThe biomedical seminar series is funded by an $8 million grant awarded by the <br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nNational Institutes of Health to 溏心vlog免费B站 professors  Zahir A Shaikh and Nasser H. Zawia to create a statewide network of biomedical researchers.   In addition to the biomedical lectures, the grant also funds a bioinformatics lecture series.
