It will be free and open to the public. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nGordon is a past president of the Rhode Island Nursery and Landscape Association and a winner of the RINLA Young Nurseryman of the Year award. A sought after expert on azalea and rhododendron culture, she is responsible for the maintenance of over 800 species of azalea\u2019s at Kinney Gardens.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nThree additional lectures are scheduled over the course of the spring semester.  <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nCheri Ruane, a senior landscape architect for the Jacques Whitford Company in Cambridge, Mass., will speak Feb. 18 on the topic of &#8220;Learning by Design: Integrating children in the design of their environment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nPeter Trowbridge, a professor of landscape architecture at Cornell University and the principal of Trowbridge and Wolfe in Ithaca, N.Y., will appear on March 24 and discuss &#8220;Reading the Urban Landscape: Site Assessment Narratives.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nThe final lecture will be held on April 21 and will feature James Urban, an expert in the field of urban development and the planting of trees in difficult urban sites.
