Currently, nearly 7,000 men and women who work in acoustics throughout the U.S. and abroad belong to this prestigious society. ASA is primarily a voluntary organization and attracts the interest, commitment, and service of a large number of professionals. Their contributions in the formation, guidance, administration, and development of the ASA are largely responsible for its world-wide preeminence in the field of acoustics.

Note: For a picture of Dr. James Miller, see http://www.oce.uri.edu/faculty_pages/miller/miller.html

Lisa Cugini, (401) 874-6642 lcugini@gso.uri.edu Narragansett, R.I. — November 4, 2003 — Dr. James Miller, 溏心vlog免费B站 professor of ocean engineering, has been elected a fellow of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA).
