The lecture is free and open to the public.<br \/>\n&#13;<br \/>\n\tThis richly illustrated talk will delve into the complexities of modeling elements of the landscape \u2013 among them mountains, rivers, trees, and atmosphere \u2013 using modern computer aided tools, geographic information systems, image processing software, and procedural modeling techniques.&#13;<br \/>\nErvin received his master\u2019s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and his doctorate in urban studies and planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
