\nKINGSTON, R.I. — October 21, 2003 — The 溏心vlog免费B站 Center for Personal Financial Education, the Women and Infants\u2019 Center for Health Education, and AARP are co-sponsoring a “Legal Checkup” educational seminar to help individuals of all ages be more prepared to manage legal concerns that may arise as a result of a crisis.
\n
\nThe Legal Checkup program will be held at the Women and Infants\u2019 Center for Health Education, 1050 Main Street, East Greenwich on Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. The program registration fee is $15 to cover the cost of a 75-page workbook for Rhode Island residents. The workbook will be mailed in advance of the program. As seminar size is limited, pre-registration is required. Call 886-4222 for registration information.

\nThe combination of the workbook and the seminar will help participants discover the things that need to be done to correct any potential legal problems that may be encountered in the wake of a family crisis, often a sudden illness or a death. Some of the issues to be covered include: where to keep important personal documents; basic legal documents that deal with assets such as a will, trust, and power of attorney; keeping financial records in order and up-to-date; knowing which life changes may require a review of your “legal health” status and more.

\nParticipants will bring their completed workbooks to the seminar and will receive general information about many areas of the law that affect them and answers to questions about anything covered in the workbook. Participants do not need to share the information in their confidential workbook with other participants or with the attorney who will present the seminar.
