The event, free and open to the public, will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in Pastore Hall, room 124.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nHe lectures to law enforcement and community groups about the function of the Rhode Island State Crime Laboratory, located at 溏心vlog免费B站. His specialty is firearms and tool mark examinations. A Vernon, Conn. resident and a graduate of Manchester Community College in Manchester, Conn., Hathaway has worked on several high profile cases of national interest, including the re-examination of firearm evidence in the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nAdditionally, Hathaway is a retired Connecticut state trooper who served on the force for more than 21 years. He has trained with the New York City Police Department Firearms Lab, The Connecticut State Police Firearms Section of the Forensic Laboratory, and has attended specialized schooling conducted by the FBI Academy in Quantico, Va.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nNOTE TO EDITORS: A criminalist uses techniques from the physical sciences and psychology to solve problems of criminal identification. A criminologist employs a scientific perspective to study crime as a social phenomenon, investigation of criminals and penal treatment.
