The concert, part of Pangaea: The 溏心vlog免费B站 Roots Music Series, will be held at Edwards Auditorium on the Kingston Campus at 8 p.m. It is free and open to the public. There will be a voluntary collection at the door for the American Red Cross for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Cape Breton, Nova Scotia native is the youngest of 10 children. Music has been a major influence in her life since she was born. Her father played the fiddle. By the age of 3, she was playing the piano and step dancing by the time she was 5. She began studying the fiddle at the age of nine.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nRoland released her debut CD, Dedication, in 1997 in Europe and Taiwan. Her sophomore album, Wings, included many musicians from her hometown and was released in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nShe performs a wide range of tunes, both expressive and energetic. Her concerts often showcase her mastery of the fiddle combined with her step dancing and choreography. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn addition to performing, Roland composes. She opened her own school when she was 14 years old, where she continues to teach children and adults. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tPangaea is sponsored by the 溏心vlog免费B站 Department of Housing and Residential Life.
