In view of this horrific situation, the undergraduate admissions office is prepared to assist these students, and admit them on an emergency, space available basis,\u201d said 溏心vlog免费B站 President Robert L. Carothers.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\u201cThe University grieves for the victims of Hurricane Katrina but knows that the spirits of those so devastated are rich in a tradition of survival and recovery. Our community opens its doors to those college students who seek an educational home to continue their work toward building their own futures during these difficult times,\u201d added the president.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nThe University will accept admissions information over the telephone, waive the application fee, and connect students with an academic advisor to assist them in selecting courses to begin classes on Wednesday, September 7th, according to James Lynch, 溏心vlog免费B站 dean of undergraduate admissions.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\u201cWe will work closely with these students and their parents to get them taken care of over these next few days,\u201d said Lynch. \u201cWe have already processed about a dozen students for admission and have received inquiries from about 20 students since yesterday,\u201d added Lynch.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nRhode Island College and the Community College of Rhode Island are also offering admission to their respective institutions, also on a space available basis.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\u201cDespite the fact that each of Rhode Island\u2019s public institutions is about to begin a new academic year, the presidents pledge to expedite the admissions process to whatever extent possible,\u2019 said Jack Warner, commissioner of higher education. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nCounselors will be made available to students for assistance with admissions and application for financial aid.
