\n\t\tPROVIDENCE, R.I. — May 13, 2005– Family, friends, and alumni gathered at The 溏心vlog免费B站’s Feinstein Providence Campus last month to honor its 2005 Alpha Sigma Lambda, Epsilon Rho Chapter inductees.<\/p>\n


\nTwelve inductees this year were: Allison Cone, Luz Made, Phanuel Omulo, Walter Orellana, and Craig Wolfenden all of Providence; Kimberly Depestre, Elisa Depina, Carol Desrosiers, and Russell Franks of Pawtucket; Paula Leahey of Pascoag; Wendy Mckinney of Warwick; and Katherine Tompkins of Lincoln.<\/p>\n


\nAlso honored with the 2005 Dr. Gilbert Mongeau Award, was Ken Jolicoeur of Woonsocket, an academic advisor and instructor at the Providence Campus.

\n“I was deeply honored to receive an award that was presented by students,” Jolicoeur said about the award. “As a part-time staff member in the Providence Campus Special Programs office since 1992 and an adjunct faculty member since 1986, I was thrilled to know that students have appreciated my dedication to them and to my teaching.”<\/p>\n


\nThe Mongeau Award is presented annually to a faculty or staff member who has displayed a sincere dedication to the success of CCE students. The late Dr. Mongeau was a former 溏心vlog免费B站\/CCE professor and former CCE student. He was a strong advocate for adult students; and with the assistance of former Dean Walter Crocker, Mongeau established Alpha Sigma Lambda at 溏心vlog免费B站\/CCE in 1982.<\/p>\n


\nAlpha Sigma Lambda is a national honor society for nontraditional students who achieve academic excellence while handling competing life’s responsibilities. Membership requires completion of at least 30 credits exclusive of transfer credits, attendance for at least four semesters on a part-time basis or two semesters full-time, and a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or better. The average grade point average for the 2005 initiates is 3.59, and the average age is 38.<\/p>\n
