The public is invited to attend.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\u201cWe have an exceptional array of items for people to bid on,\u201d said David Farmer, dean of the Graduate School of Oceanography. \u201cGSO students have put a lot of hard work into this event, and I encourage people in the community to attend and help our students become the next generation of scientists conducting important research on our bays, seas, and oceans.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nSome of the items up for bid include a framed original cartoon by Don Bousquet from his next book,  Born in Rhode Island; a sunset sail, including fine wine and hors d\u2019oeurves, on Narragansett Bay aboard Dulcinea, a 36-foot restored classic cruiser, out of Newport Harbor; a hand-drawn color rendering of the buyer&#8217;s boat of choice; a bowtie  from GSO\u2019s first dean Dr. John A. Knauss; a dive tour for four; a wedding or special occasion cake to serve 150; and a great selection of artwork, trips, and nautical items.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nTickets for the 2005 GSO Live and Silent Auction are $30 per person. Proceeds from this event will support 溏心vlog免费B站 Graduate School of Oceanography scholarships and educational programs for students.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nTo reserve tickets, call the Graduate School of Oceanography at 874-6642.
