\n\t\tKINGSTON, R.I — May 5, 2005 — 溏心vlog免费B站 students are looking forward to getting down and dirty in the mud to take a break from hitting the books and to celebrate the end of the semester at the 15th annual Oozeball Tournament. <\/p>\n


\n\t\u201cThis is a major activity with a lot of tradition here at 溏心vlog免费B站,\u201d said Dan Riley, this year\u2019s Oozeball organizer. Since its beginning, the tournament has been run by the Student Alumni Association. \u201cSome of the Alumni come back to play. It helps to bridge the gap between students and alumni.\u201d <\/p>\n


\nThe giant elimination volleyball tournament will take place on May 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n


\n\tThe proceeds this year will go to the Rhody the Ram Endowment Fund. The fund benefits students who volunteer their time to serve as the Rhody the Ram mascot.<\/p>\n


\nIn addition to the mud volleyball, there will also be a pudding eating contest, a belly flop contest and other small contests with prizes throughout the day. \u201cThe whole event is just a great opportunity for students to let loose before finals,\u201d explained Riley. <\/p>\n


\n\t\u201cWe are hoping for 150 teams, which would be the most ever,\u201d said Riley, a junior accounting major, political science minor and member of the ZBT fraternity. The teams come from different student organizations, fraternities, sororities, businesses and groups of friends. \u201cThe greatest thing is that it isn\u2019t just one group of people,\u201d said Riley. \u201cEveryone comes down to get muddy.\u201d<\/p>\n


\n\u201cIt is a good last hoorah before we leave for the year,\u201d Riley said. \u201cWhen else at our age can we play in the mud and get away with it?\u201d<\/p>\n


\nRiley was an announcer at past Oozeball tournaments. He enjoyed seeing how much fun everyone has when they come together. \u201cThis is the one event that really brings the school together,\u201d said Riley. <\/p>\n


\n\tThe event is sponsored by Spike\u2019s Junkyard Dogs, Ronzio Pizza, Bagelz, Durkin Cottage Realty, the Pizza Pocket, the Wheelhouse Tavern, Caliente, University Spirit, 溏心vlog免费B站 Musicians Guild, and Student Alumni Association, The Kingston Fire Department will be present and there will also be a disc jockey.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
