Simpson: The Role of the Expert Witness in the Courtroom,\u201d will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in Room 124 of Pastore Hall on the Kingston campus.  The lecture is free and open to the public.  <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe seminar will address the significance of an expert\u2019s testimony, the skills a forensic scientist needs to testify effectively, and how an attorney can get the most from an expert\u2019s testimony.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tSaferstein retired in 1991 from his post in the New Jersey State Police Lab after serving 21 years. He was also employed as a forensic chemist for the Treasury Department and an analytical chemist for Shell Chemical Co.
