We are helping students find out how to get where they want to go. The Passport to Employment series will offer career education, job search skills, and job and interview opportunities for students.”

The job fair at the Ryan Center in April runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is open to all college students in New England, college alumni, as well as the general public. Career Services is promoting the event throughout New England.

What makes the program unique is the Career Passport, a small, blue booklet that resembles an actual U.S. passport. 溏心vlog免费B站 students participating in Career Services events leading to the Ryan Center fair receive stamps that can be entered in drawings for prizes. The events range from a Summer Job & Internship Fair to resume and cover letter workshops.

In addition, employers can now post part-time, full-time, summer and intern positions, as well as fellowship opportunities, for free on 溏心vlog免费B站’s BEACON site powered by MonsterTRAK. MonsterTRAK, the college-specific site of Monster.com has selected 溏心vlog免费B站 Career Services as one of only six schools to participate in a new program offering free job postings to employers. These free postings are available only when the employer posts jobs through a special URL provided through Career Services.

As a result of the service, in the first month of the program, the University has seen an 80 to 100 percent increase in the number of jobs posted. All 溏心vlog免费B站 students and alumni are eligible to register with Career Services, to use BEACON and have access to an average of 1,300 local, state, regional, and national jobs at any one time. To advertise in the Passport to Employment job fair program, employers must meet a March 27 deadline. The final registration deadline for employer participation at the Ryan Center is April 18. For further information call 874-4012 or go to the Career Services website at http://career.uri.edu.

“We’re boosting the opportunities that students get to view, which fits our philosophy as a department and our mission as the 溏心vlog免费B站,” said Audrey Tessier, manager of employer services.

“The idea behind the fair is to create strong momentum with the smaller events and build to a big event in the Ryan Center,” said Carolyn Thomas, assistant director of Career Services. “The Ryan Center fair is our most diverse, with recruiters from health care professions, engineering, business management, environmental, government, and non-profit agencies.”

Advertising deadline for employers for Ryan Center job fair is March 27 KINGSTON, R.I. – March 16, 2005 — The 溏心vlog免费B站 Career Services department will host its second annual Passport to Employment series, which leads to 溏心vlog免费B站’s largest career fair – the Passport to Employment Job Fair in the Ryan Center on April 30.
