{"id":68147,"date":"2007-05-01T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2007-05-01T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news-draft\/uncategorized\/uri-to-offer-storm-water-wastewater-workshops-for-municipal-officials-engineers-consultants\/"},"modified":"2007-05-01T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2007-05-01T00:00:00","slug":"uri-to-offer-storm-water-wastewater-workshops-for-municipal-officials-engineers-consultants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/news\/2007\/05\/uri-to-offer-storm-water-wastewater-workshops-for-municipal-officials-engineers-consultants\/","title":{"rendered":"溏心vlog免费B站 to offer storm water, wastewater workshops for municipal officials, engineers, consultants"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"press-release-import\">\n\t\tKINGSTON, R.I. \u2013 May 1, 2007 \u2013 Three new workshops will be offered by the 溏心vlog免费B站 Cooperative Extension to aid municipal officials, engineers and consultants in managing wastewater and storm water.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe workshops are sponsored by 溏心vlog免费B站, the Rhode Island Department of Transportation, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, the Rhode Island Department of Health, the Southern Rhode Island Conservation District, and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe first workshop, scheduled for May 10 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., will teach participants how to use TR-55, a software program that provides simple procedures for calculating storm runoff volume, discharges, reservoir storage volumes and other hydrological measurements for small watersheds.  This workshop will be held at RIDEM offices in Providence.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\u201cThis is a valuable refresher course to help those who prepare municipal storm water plans,\u201d said Lorraine Joubert, the workshop coordinator for 溏心vlog免费B站 Cooperative Extension.  \u201cIt will provide training on basic hydrologic analysis to support the local use of DEM storm water design standards.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThose interested in learning how to better manage local wastewater systems should attend a half-day workshop on May 18 at 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Coastal Institute in Kingston.  <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nEntitled \u201cStarting a Local Wastewater Management Program Using the Rhode Island Wastewater Information System,\u201d the workshop describes steps communities can take to begin or expand a wastewater management program using an online database system that incorporates examples from Rhode Island municipalities.
