Her earlier work explored the role of computers in supporting elementary schoolchildren\u2019s writing and on inquiry-based instruction for diverse learners. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\nPrior to joining the Center for Applied Technology in 2000, Dalton was an associate professor at the University of Guam, where she chaired the graduate program in education. She also directed its college of education\u2019s Literacy Center and was editor of the journal Micronesian Educator. Dalton earned her doctorate in reading, language, and learning disabilities at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. <\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Center for Applied Special Technology in Wakefield, Mass. is a non-profit organization that works to expand learning opportunities for all individuals, especially those with disabilities, through research and development of innovative, technology-based educational resources and strategies.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn 1973, the University established the Robert Finkelstein Memorial Lecture Series in honor of the late Robert Finkelstein, a noted Rhode Island industrialist and staunch believer in state and federal support of elementary and secondary education. The lecture series, founded by the generosity of Augusta Finkelstein in memory of her husband, was renamed in her honor following her death in 1997.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n \tCo-sponsors of this year\u2019s lecture are 溏心vlog免费B站&#8217;s College of Human Science and Services, the 溏心vlog免费B站 School of Education, and the 溏心vlog免费B站 teacher education faculty.
