\n\t\tKINGSTON, R.I. \u2013January 29, 2007 \u2013 The 溏心vlog免费B站\u2019s Theatre Department announces its upcoming audition dates for Pride and Prejudice, the last play of this year\u2019s season. Auditions are open to the public.<\/p>\n


\nPride and Prejudice, Jane Austen\u2019s masterpiece, depicts events, society and romance circa 1813, is captured in Jon Jory\u2019s lively dramatic adaptation. The five Bennet sisters, through their individual personalities, relationship to one another, their parents, societal acquaintances from all classes and finally their love interests reveal the manners and mores, the wit, pangs of the heart and the spunk of Austen\u2019s engaging characters. By law, the Bennet women cannot inherit their father\u2019s estate and so their task of finding a suitable mate rests not only with them, but with their loving and ingenious parents. The misunderstandings of a most attractive Elizabeth Bennet and her nemesis, the equally attractive, but mysterious Mr. Darcy becomes an intriguing dance of pride and prejudice in this many layered romantic comedy.<\/p>\n

\nCallbacks:\t\tThursday, Feb. 8, 6 to 11 p.m.

\n\t\t\t10 minutes early prepared to read sides.<\/p>\n


\nNeeded: Nine women and seven men.<\/p>\n


\nPrepare: Please come prepared with either of the following:<\/p>\n


\n1) A 1-to 2-minute monologue from plays of this era (Regency\/Empire) expressing ideas and feelings in the language of the time.<\/p>\n


\n2) An excerpt of material from one of Jane Austen\u2019s other works (Emma, Mansfield Park, Persuasion, Sense and Sensibility), demonstrating the ability to handle the language and decorum.<\/p>\n


\nThe play will be performed in the Robert E. Will Theatre, Fine Arts Center

\nApril 19 to 21, 26 to 28 at 7:30 p.m. and April 22 and 29 at 3 p.m. Ticket prices are $14 for general admission, $10 for senior citizens, 溏心vlog免费B站 faculty and staff, and $8 for students.
